Senior Facility Maintenance Engineer

Pay rate: $25 per hour (up to $27 with exceptional experience)

Shift: 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

This employee will:

  • Develop, oversee and improve processes for plant maintenance, cleaning, basic repairs and pest control for buildings and property.
  • Keep the property clean and orderly.
  • Inspect and evaluate repairs to property or equipment to determine the type of work required.
  • Identify and communicate with management or consultants the need for repairs.
  • Requisition supplies and equipment for repairs, replacement, cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Understand waste and water disposal procedures.
  • Follow safety principles for use of chemical cleaners, tools and power equipment to prevent damage.

Knowledge and Ability Requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing engineering with CAD CAM development, CNC programming, and training experience.
  • Ability to interpret written and spoken instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team to resolve work issues.
  • Knowledge of basic shop math.
  • Forklift certification preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Previous work experience in manufacturing or facilities settings preferred.

CNC Machinists (hiring two applicants)

Pay rate: $20 per hour, depending on experience

Shift: One employee each will be hired for the first shift (6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday) and the second shift (3:30 p.m. to midnight, Monday through Friday)

Type of position:

This employee will:

  • Be responsible for all activities involving fabricating, inspecting, and deburring parts for capital equipment machinery.
  • Compute with machine indexing and settings for specified dimension and base reference points.
  • Study blueprints, work orders, or machining instructions to determine product dimensions, tooling, and to plan operational sequence.
  • Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
  • Set up and operates centerless grinder, vertical mill, surface grinder, hone or engine lathe to perform machining operations such as turning, boring, reaming, milling angles and contours.
  • Set and adjust speed, feeds and depth of cut to machine parts to specifications set forth in blueprints and drawings.
  • Verify starting materials are adequate prior to beginning to work.
  • Be responsible for the quality of the finished product or services outlined above.
  • Make recommendations, as needed, to other machinists as to possible solutions to machining problems.

Knowledge and Ability Requirements

  • 5 or more years of CNC experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Familiarity with G codes and M codes.
  • Ability to set up.
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to physically lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. periodically.
  • Local residency a plus
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.

Tooling Technician

Pay rate: $19 per hour

Shift: 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

This employee will:

  • Operate lathes, mills, or grinders to cut, sharpen, bore, grind, repair, or make tools on metal or plastic materials to job requirements for the production process.
  • Inspect, fabricate and finish tools using visual inspection techniques, microscopes, micrometers, automated measuring instruments, chamfering, buffering, polishing, and/or other finishing techniques.
  • Read and interpret drawings.
  • Understand and perform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping procedures.
  • Be exposed to noise, moving mechanical parts, oils, solvents, fumes, and odors that may affect the eyes, ears, nose, throat and/or skin.

Knowledge and Ability Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Previous work experience in tool grinding preferred.
