Position Details

PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN Use your project management skills to help develop, implement, and maintain technical and ergonomic workflows in the Production Center. This is an exciting position supporting product assembly work cells, media and hardware duplication, reprographics, and binding processes. Responsibilities • Work with Product Planning, Production Center, and other staff to define, design, document, implement, and monitor production processes • Provide execution, support, training, and problem resolution to Production Center pre-flight processing of digital art files and pre-press and print production activities/processing • Execute the management and control of ESRI digital asset files • Facilitate the execution of software delivery mechanisms such as FTP, Electronic Software Distribution (ESD), optical media, hardware devices, etc. • Facilitate interaction with ESRI network and computer systems personnel relative to Production Center infrastructure and workflows • Provide technical support, training, and problem resolution support to the Media Duplication (DVD, CD, and hardware), Copy Center (reprographics), and Production Center (assembly) • Perform maintenance of manufacturing equipment that is not covered under service contracts
Skills	Requirements • Professional, detail oriented, self-starter, capable of working with limited supervision • Excellent communication skills including phone and business e-mail • Ability to interface with other employees at all levels of the organization • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to multi-task • Proficient skill level in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of products • Demonstrated experience in a print production and manufacturing environment Recommended Qualifications • Associate’s degree or equivalent education • Experience with pre-flight and troubleshooting of digital files • Knowledge of font, font handling, digital production systems, and pre-press workflow • Knowledge of graphic software and Web design • Experience with database development and administration • Experience with electronic software distribution and electronic multi-media • Experience with SAP Materials Management or similar ERP system
